Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil its much-anticipated iPhone 17 series in early September, with leaks pointing to a September 9 launch event. The upcoming line-up is expected to feature four models — the standard iPhone 17, a slimmer and lighter iPhone 17 Air, along with the premium iPhone 17 Pro and the top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The iPhone 17 series is rumoured to bring a refined version of the Dynamic Island, promising smoother animations and a more intuitive user experience. Powered by the upcoming iOS 26, both the regular and Pro models are expected to include advanced interactive features and enhanced visual design elements.
Pricing Expectations
- The iPhone 17 could be priced at around ₹83,300 in India, compared to the iPhone 16’s starting price of ₹79,900.
- The iPhone 17 Airis tipped to launch at $900 (approx. ₹78,900) in the US. In India, it may fall between ₹90,000 and ₹1,00,000.
- The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are also expected to be more expensive than their predecessors.
Apple is also expected to double the base storage to 256GB, which may contribute to the anticipated price increase.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to debut at around $900 (approx. ₹78,900) in the US, placing it above the base iPhone 17 but below the Pro versions. In India, it may retail between ₹90,000 and ₹1,00,000.
Premium variants like the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are also anticipated to see a noticeable increase in pricing.
