It all began in the late summer of 2010, when two creative marketers planned to start a digital marketing agency. The name in question is Markigence, now an established digital marketing agency in Delhi NCR.
Harsh Vardhan Dutta, the founder and chief strategist, reminiscences the early years. “We had the advantage of being an early starter, and being in the market for 5 years, courtesy our content development agency italics (founded in 2005).”
Markigence did make early inroads. It bagged Maruti Suzuki as one of its first clients and launched three of its brands on social media. Soon, Canon India followed the suit. As the agency was hustling with smaller and bigger clients with equal zeal, it got an entrance into FMCG with getting Dabur on board.
Over the past 8 years, with 200+ clients, over 25 running accounts, and an ever-expanding team, Markigence now has clients from all walks of categories from all over the world.
Harsh further adds:”Our vision now is to leverage on our portfolio and give contemporary value to our clients. Technology is changing fast. Marketers are looking for newer strategies both from creative and technological point of view for marketing online. We are looking at building a creative unit that banks on storytelling via effective technology.”
Having arrived in the scene, Markigence is now looking to empower clients through social, search and analytics, with data being a critical player in the scenario. Harsh says he still feels that strategy is their strong point and they are hard to beat in that.
